Becky Tyo joins the Blue Star Basketball Family in 2007 following nearly ten years being involved in the college game both as a coach and a player. Becky's comes to us from the Western Illinois University where she was an assistant coach for the past 5 years.
Becky was a member of all four of Western Illinois's consecutive Mid-Continent Conference regular season titles, three as an assistant and one as a player.
Tyo was a four year starter, and three-time All-Mid-Con pick at Western Illinois and ranks among the Top 10 in nine of Western Illinois's single-season & career record book categories. She is the 5th all time leading scorer with 1,367 points.
Tyo is a Rockford, Illinois native & graduated from Western Illinois in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science and is currently pursuing her masters in the same major.
