Jose Mori

Jose Mori joined Blue Star Basketball as a consultant in 2012 after spending the past five season at Indiana University as the associate head coach and recruiting coordinator, and was a member of the WBCA Board of Directors. Prior to joining the Hoosiers, Mori spent three seasons as an assistant coach at the University of Florida. During which time he saw his 2004-05 recruiting class ranked No. 7 by Blue Star Basketball.
The 2000 graduate of Penn State and native of State College, PA., spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y. Mori began his collegiate coaching career in August 2000, when he was an assistant coach at the University of Richmond. During his two years with Richmond the Spiders finished second in the Atlantic 10 West Division in 2002 after being picked to finish seventh in the preseason poll.
He is married to the former Christine Portland, who was a four-year basketball letter winner at Penn State. Christine is the daughter of legendary coach Rene Portland. The Mori's are proud parents of four daughters, and reside in Connecticut.
